Practical information to help you plan. Always confirm entry, health and safety requirements with official sources before you travel.
Best time to visit
- May to October (dry season): best for wildlife, because animals gather at water and the vegetation is thinner. Cool mornings, warm days.
- November to April (green season): lush landscapes, excellent birding, dramatic skies and fewer visitors.
- Victoria Falls: fullest from about March to May. Lower flow, roughly September to December, lets you see the rock face and swim at Devil’s Pool (Zambia, seasonal).
Visa information
Requirements depend on your passport. Many nationalities can use the KAZA UniVisa for Zimbabwe and Zambia and day-trip to Chobe, while Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and Eswatini each have their own entry rules. Check the official immigration website of each country, make sure your passport has enough blank pages and validity, and contact us if you would like help confirming what applies to you.
